Dietary Supplements

There are a lot of health trends out there, and I must admit I have fallen into a Google dark hole researching things that can help my ailments. I have decided 2019 is my year of focusing on my health, but there is one little thing in the way. I’m lazy. Straight out lazy when it comes to health and fitness. Unless it is stupid simple I just won’t stick with it. So, after digging myself out of that cyber black hole I came back out with several supplements I have wanted to try; now all I have to do is make it stupid easy to add to my daily routine…

When I decided to take my new healthy shopping list to BJ’s Wholesale Club, I knew one of the first things I wanted to add to my daily coffee or smoothie is MCT Oil. MCT oil has been shown to increase the release of two hormones that promote the feeling of fullness in the body. So just a couple tablespoons of the oil and I can start to feel fuller. One study found that people taking two tablespoons of MCT oil as part of their breakfast ended up eating less food for lunch compared to those taking coconut oil.

Gummy Vitamins

I have been taking my daily multivitamin (see my old daily supplements post here) but wanted to add more like, Fish Oil and more Vitamin C to my routine. When I was going through the BJ’s health aisle I stumbled across Nature Made, which makes both in a gummy form! I was floored and scooped them right up. Gummy supplements are so much easier and make it a little more fun.

Dietary Supplements

There is one health/supplement trend I have been reading up on and have been wanting to try, Turmeric. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis. So I grabbed up Nature Made Turmeric Capsules at BJ’s to give it a try instead of taking it raw. Yuck.

4 Easy Ways to Try New Dietary Supplements

If you read my post on my daily smoothie you know I love to add collagen and protein in powder form. This has made it so easy to take both each day without a gross taste.
