A have been bitten by the travel bug lately and with life being a tad too busy to hop on a plane on a whim I have been exploring more of what a car can get me to around DC.

I have always been a fan of Annapolis. It’s cute european-feel charm and the gorgeous views of the sail boats passing by. So obviously when Visit Annapolis invited me, and several other travel bloggers, to come experience the best of what Annapolis has to offer I couldn’t say no.

I am sure you can tell by the pictures above that visiting Great Frogs Vineyard was one of my favorite stops. I was most impressed with their Waterman (a light, dry red).

We also took a ride on an adorable trolley, ate lunch at Galway Bay Irish Pub and Restaurant, took a relaxing boat tour and finished the day with a ride on a water taxi to dinner at Carrol’s Creek Waterfront Restaurant (highly suggest the Sea Scallops).

If you have any specific questions on my experience please don’t hesitate to comment below.

My husband and I took our kids to Annapolis. We did a boat ride and went to a restaurant that my oldest son saw on Man vs Food. I wish that we could have stayed a little longer and just walked around. But, it was really a spur of the moment trip. We were bored and decided on Annapolis.

Perfect post and perfect timing – We live in DC and have gotten a bug to do some short day trips! Luckily for us there are wineries in all directions :)
