I had a fabulous time at the CapFABB event last night at Neiman Marcus. We drooled over fall pieces, sipped champagne and chatted with old blogger friends while I donned a trend I was hesitant about.

As a larger-chested girl I was nervous about rocking the drop waist trend, but it grew on me as the night went on. Pros: comfortable and light-weight. Cons: boxy shape and no defined natural waist. In this case comfort, and a gorgeous color, won.

Would you try the drop waist trend?

Those shoes are amazing and I think the drop-waist looks great on you! I just bought a dress with a similar shape and am trying to decide if I want to keep it because of the same reason (shapeless).

I agree- I’ve been hesitant to try it out, too, but you made it work! Love the color of the dress, too, and how you accessorized with a lot of gold/neutral.

I ADORE this dress!! It’s so cute and looks amazing on you. I’m totally digging the drop waist trend right now but I’ve yet to find the perfect fit myself. This one is perfection though.
