1. Begin to wrap about one inch width of your hair around the barrel away from your face. I like to start in the front first and work my way back.
2. Continue the process all the way around your head. The best way for me to remember how to hold the barrel correctly is: for whatever side of your head you are curling your hair, hold the barrel in the opposite hand and place the barrel over your head facing down (This is the time I like to show off my arm muscles to my fiance while making this upside down L-shape.) Now wrap the hair around the upside-down barrel away from your face.
3. Take a look at your tight curls and don’t panic on me. We will loosen this all up later.
4. Lastly, once your whole head is curled, run your fingers through you hair as much as you like to add the desired texture of curls/waves you want (I like to start at the crown of my head). Spray a layer of hairspray as needed.

I have been asked every time I post an outfit post with my wavy/loose curled hair how I do it. As a girl with board-straight never-holds-curl hair I could not wait to share with you my new secret weapon. Without any hairspray or product prior to using this barrel I can have these curls last for days (you read that right… days)!

The clip-less curling iron I am using above is the Jose Eber Tribarrel Curling Iron (c/o). This bad boy has three inter-changeable barrels so that I can play with the sizing of my curls!

The lovely folks at Jose Eber even gave me a coupon code LACEY15 that will get you 15% off the entire www.joseeberhair.com website!

Happy curling and I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

xoxo,
Lacey

Congrats to Kelly who won the WHBM GiftCard (via random.org)! I will be emailing you shortly! :)

Disclaimer: While this is a sponsored post and Jose Eber gifted me the curling iron, I just want to reiterate that I would never partner with a company that I didn’t completely believe in myself.

“Headband curls” are always my go-to style when I want loose waves. It produces the same results with absolutely no heat and takes less time (because you just sleep on it and take it down in the morning). YouTube it!

It does take practice. All of these wands come with a glove (that I now feel comfortable not using) but perhaps you should use it till you really feel comfortable.

Thanks for the tutorial! I’m seriously considering buying one of these curling irons, since everyone who uses them gets fabulous curls. One question: which size iron did you use in your tutorial and other pictures?

Thanks!

So so pretty. How does this compare to the other one? https://alaceyperspective.com/magic-curling-wand/ I’m super curious.

I have never tried this before but have wondered about it. What makes it different from just a regular curling iron?

I got this same curling iron from them and I love it! It takes practice but a clipless iron really does give perfect natural waves :)
