A Lacey Perspective: Lace & Measuring Tape

I have mentioned it in the past, but I want to make sure I say it again… my biggest insecurity is my chest. Ironically, I worked for many years at a lingerie mall chain we all know and have a love/hate relationship with. I know how to properly measure myself and others (we will get to that soon), and I know how often I need to replace my bras. But no matter how knowledgeable I am that never seems to stop me from still feeling uncomfortable with my chest. Having an abnormally smaller back and fuller chest, shopping for clothes has and always be a b*tch. But the ultimate pain is bra shopping.

As I’ve began to discover the brands that carry my size, shopping for bras as been much more enjoyable. One of the brands that has always been at the top of my list for pretty, french-style lingerie is Chantelle.A Lacey Perspective: Lace & Measuring Tape

When Chantelle asked me to head into my local Neiman Marcus for a professional bra fitting and chat about what I need in my bra wardrobe I jumped at the chance.

Two important bra facts:
– More than 60% of women are wearing the wrong bra size.
– You should replace your bra every 6-9 months.
– You should be measured every 6 months to a year. Your body is constantly changing.

Once I invested in the right bra I have never looked back. Even my smaller chested ladies, I beg you to invest in a quality bra or two. It will truly change your life. I brought my friend Jen, a member of the itty bitty titty committee, to my fitting and I peer pressured her had her measured as well. Her jaw hit the floor when she received her true bra size.

So what is the moral of our story, ladies? If you have not had a professional bra fitting in the last 6 months go grab your purse and hop to it!
