Welcome back from your long weekend! How was it?! I took a road trip with J and his best friend to Rehoboth Beach, DL. The Texan/Floridian in me missed the beach oh so much. I am now a tan, happy girl.

This outfit was from Friday. I am lucky enough that at my new job casual Friday really means basically anything goes. So after a very long Thursday night (I was MCing and coordinating a Fundraiser for my Emerging Leaders Fellowship I just graduated from – pics of that later if I can grab them from some people) I wanted comfort and this 1960s floral (I say cherry blossoms) maxi is EXACTLY what I needed. Flip flops, light cotton, and  bright colors to wake me up a bit was perfect for a warm DC day that was going to no doubt drag on because the long weekend was right around the corner.

Yes, I know, once again another vintage dress from Meeps, but I just can’t say no when it has pockets, was soooo comfy and honestly just gorgeous. Sue me. I also love that Meeps puts the decade the pieces are from on their tags. This one is from the 1960s. I love to play a guessing game of what year a piece is from before I look at the tags.

Where was this dress during the Cherry Blossom Festival? It would have been perfect. C’est la vie.
