Designer Jacket & Nail Polish c/o T.J.MaxxA Lacey Perspective: Lessons in Layering

It is oh-so appropriate that layering is the last theme for my T.J.Maxx partnership. As a southern gal (by way of TX & FL) the art of layering was not something I needed to master.

Now in my fifth year as a DC resident I think I almost have this technique down. Being larger chested I struggle with making layering on more width around my chest work without looking boxy or bigger than i actually am. My trick you ask? It is all about the lengths and fit.

The blazer has the perfect shape to not make me boxy, but the looseness of the sweater and chambray top still gives me that baggy boyfriend look that is majorly on trend right now.

Have a fantastic weekend!

I understand your struggle! I feel that I am so un-proportional sometimes – broad shoulders and larger chest, but then clothes NEVER hit right and it makes my waist look larger. I love layering – wish I could do it more often here in Atlanta.

Thanks for the outfit idea!
