If you follow me over on Instagram Stories often you know that staying healthy is important to me, and one of the easiest ways I have found to keep on top of my health is through the use of supplements, vitamins and smoothies. With a busy lifestyle I can’t always rely on eating perfect meals, so smoothies are something I use to help fill the gap. 

Daily SmoothieI am often asked about my daily smoothie recipe; I love smoothies, because when it comes to staying healthy, if it is not super easy I know I won’t be able to be consistent. When I was researching smoothie recipes I knew I needed something that tastes like dessert. I hate the taste of all the green smoothies out there, as well as most protein powders, but after lots of experimenting I have created a smoothie that can be both healthy and taste great and gives me everything I need to feel healthy by just popping some supplements into the blender.

To add to this smoothie I wanted to find a protein powder that also helps me get my greens without the gross taste. Well, you will not believe it, but I found it in multiple flavors AND in bulk. Can it get better than that? At BJ’s I came across Vega Plant Based Protein and Greens Powder! I grabbed the vanilla and chocolate flavors. For this recipe I use the vanilla flavor.

I have really fallen in love with this smoothie. It’s become what I use as my motivation to go the gym. It is so sweet and smooth that I won’t let myself have it unless I complete a workout. I am a creature of habit so I rarely change up the recipe, and once I get on a health roll with my routine I can really feel the difference.

Tips:

*I like to add collagen to my smoothies (or add them to my coffee). I swear when I add collagen to my routine my nails and hair grow faster and longer.

*You can also add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to give it a chocolate covered strawberry taste. Cocoa has many health benefits1

INGREDIENTS

  • Banana (ideally frozen)
  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Almond Milk
  • Stevia
  • Protein Powder
  • Collagen Powder
  • Ice

INSTRUCTIONS

Add to blender:
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries.
1 Whole Frozen Banana chopped into smaller pieces.
1/2 Cup of Almond Milk.
1 Stevia Packet.
1 Scoop of Protein Powder.
Optional: Collagen Powder
Ice to the max line.
Blend.
