It’s only appropriate to be donning all white for my first post back as a Mrs., right?!

The Mr. and I are back in DC (honeymoon will be later in the year due to work travel), and the only way to run errands is in the most comfortable jeans I own. These Old Navy boyfriend jeans have the perfect slouch, just enough rips, and I was able to get them in a short length. But don’t worry, long is available for my tall ladies too!

We have had a short stint of warm weather here in DC and I relished in my one day sans tights. I ran tons of errands while rocking out to my favorite tunes (obsessed with these Frends headphones by the way) and then had dinner with friends at my favorite restaurant. It was a perfect, warm day. I have been dying to try socks and heels forever but never quite found the perfect pair of socks to help me take the plunge. Enter black and white polka-dotted socks found in my Christmas stocking.

I think I like the way it came out. Not only did it keep my tootsies warm, but it also gives an almost preppy edge, if you will. Preppy and edge… can they go together?

Now I am on the hunt for more winter socks to add a bit of edge to my winter prep. Would you, or have you tried, socks and heels? What do you think?!

I had such a fantastic time sharing Lafayette 148 New York’s fall pieces and some tips on transitioning your spring looks to fall with everyone at Nordstrom on Saturday! I kept saying all day (because these pieces were that comfortable to wear that I rocked them all day long) that I feel so New York in this look. The black and grey makes me feel like I would fit right in on the subway …but you know I can’t do an all dark look, so I added a cherry red lip to add a punch of color.
