Stripes/Stripes

Skirt {F21} similar | Top {old} similar | Sandals & Bag {Zara} | Gem/Chain Necklace {BaubleBar} |  Monogram Necklace {Max & Chloe} | Cuffs {ASOS} | Ring {H&M} | Sunnies {Karen Walker} | Lipstick {NARS – Carthage} | Manicure & Pedicure {OPI- Lincoln Park After Dark}

We all know I love pattern mixing (see here, here and here) but I never thought about trying similar patterns but different widths and/or colors. Now THAT is some pattern mixing! So in love with the stripe on stripe look – going to have to try this with some other striped pieces I have.

Next up …floral on floral?

Gingham/Floral

Trousers {H&M} similar - last seen as part of a suit | Button Down & Sweater {F21} | Pumps & Bag {Zara} | Monogram Necklace {Max & Chloe} | Watch {Michael Kors} | Bracelet {Yurman} | Assorted Bangles {F21} | Ring {H&M} | Sunnies {House of Harlow 1960} | Lipstick {NARS – Carthage} | Manicure {OPI- Chick Flick Cherry}

You know me – I love any chance to do some pattern mixing, rock printed trousers and, of course, wear lots and lots and lots of color. By the looks of the runways this NY Fashion Week, it seems that I will be right on par for many seasons to come.

Don’t you love when trends are already in your closet by the truckloads?

Snakeskin & Dots

Top + Pants + Necklace + Ring {H&M} | Clutch {Meeps Vintage}| Booties {Steve Madden} | Cuff {F21} | Watch {Michael Kors} | Bracelet {Yurman} | Manicure {Essie – Midnight Cami} | Pedicure {OPI – Give Me Moor}

This is what I wore to the CapFABB meet up last night at the absolutely fabulous Nectar Skin Bar. I decided to go with a chic pattern mixing look. I was originally a little concerned about the whole ensemble but with every step I took toward the venue I was falling in love with it. I feel like this look is so me. It is conservative… with a risk. I was comfortable and felt like a million bucks, but it’s all H&M which means I spent MUCH less then a million bucks! ;)

Side note – Aren’t these pants to die for!? They are snakeskin print and has leather piping on the pockets. Amazeeeee!

My recap of the fabulous-ness that was the CapFABB meet up will be posted shortly.
