One of my most requested posts has been about my day to day favorite foods and more specifically my favorites at Trader Joe’s. With a TJoe’s a block from where we live a weekly run (if not more) is a must. From the cult favorite Cauliflower Gnocchi to Two Buck Chuck to even their string cheese I have tried it all. Below is a list of my go-tos when I step into those glistening aisles. I will do my best to keep this list updated as often as possible. As a special little bonus I added two of my go-to recipes that are 100% Trader Joe’s…

Trader Joe’s Greek Yogurt Non Fat Vanilla Bean These individual sized babies are my favorite things for breakfast. I don’t have to portion anything out, top them with sliced strawberries and boom. Perfect breakfast.

Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi This bag of brilliance is worth the hype BUT the key is how you cook it. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT follow the instructions on the bag. To get that crispy outside and gooey inside you need to take the gnocchi frozen and drop them right into a heated pan that has a little bit of olive oil and sauté. And since it is the crispy layer in many foods that appeals us more than the fleshy part inside, it is alright to fuss over the various different choices you come across; to have a crunchy and crispy layer. For instance, take article from DCW Casing, which expounds how rewarding it can be to have a luscious casing over sausages.

Trader Joe’s Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry This is one of my favorites for a quick meal. The best tip I have is to make sure not to over sauté or you will get mushy rice. I’ve found 6 minutes to be the sweet spot.

Trader Joe’s Applewood Smoked Bacon

Trader Joe’s Teeny Tiny Avocados These are the the absolute perfect size so we you don’t have that leftover half of the avocado that goes brown in a day.

Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken

Trader Joe’s Charles Shaw “Two Buck Chuck” Shiraz If you want to drink some of the TJoes red wine I suggest the Shiraz. It is the most flavorful of the reds they offer.
