No Caitlin of Style Within Reach (the lovely lady in yellow and black above) and I are not the unlikely pair – plaid and stripes are!

A look that was tossed together last minute, and inspired by a chic Pinterest pic I have been waiting to recreate with my own twist, became something that grew on me as the night went on. When I first put this look on and looked in the mirror it seemed a bit much to me, but a toss of the denim jacket over my shoulders and the look was almost complete… enter my red Kate Spade flower. Perrrrfect.

I wore this look last week while lunching, and later sipping champagne, with the CEO and co-founder of Rent the Runway, Jenn Hyma, and her amazing PR crew. I can tell you there are some amazing things in store for us here in DC and I cannot wait to share!
