Happy Friday, ALP readers! I’m Alison from Chain Strap Purse and, as you probably already know, someone around here is getting married tomorrow! Eeeep!

I walked down the aisle a little over two years ago, so Lacey asked me to share some last minute advice for the big day…from one bride to another!

Eat – I know some brides go on crazy diets and even on the day of they don’t eat…either because it’s a last ditch effort to stay slim or because they’re too nervous. But I can’t stress enough how important it is to have at least a little something in your stomach. It seriously makes all the difference in the world.

Don’t worry if something doesn’t go exactly as planned – This is actually on the verge of being cliche, but it’s seriously so true. Not everything will go off without a hitch when you’re getting hitched, but you’re likely to be the only one who notices. I promise!

Take five – After your ceremony, take just a few minutes to just “be.” You’re married and that’s a big deal! Leave your bridal party, photographer, planner and everyone else behind and just enjoy the moment. The day goes so fast and is such a blur, but that will be some of the most memorable time you have.

If any of you lovely ladies want to share your advice for the bride, please feel free to comment below! And thanks to Lacey for letting me take over today. I can’t wait to celebrate with you this weekend!

Definitely good advice! I’d also add to the last one to take breaks during your reception w/your husband & just observe. Take those moments to really take in everything that is going on!

Love the advice to take a couple minutes with just you and your new hubby!
