A Lacey Perspective: Weekend Errands

You know that time you went to Target to get one simple thing from the housewares section and came out with over $100 in clothing, accessories and shoes? Yeah. That happens to me every time. Every. Single. Time.

Target is my go-to for my summer weekend uniform: maxi dresses and sandals. I like to know that just in case I am clumsy and rip the bottom of my dress (which is always), or just in case I spill my wine (which is almost always), or even scratch my shoes to the point of not being able to know its original color (which is often), that I am not ruining a really expensive piece of my wardrobe that if possibly even creased the wrong way would make me wince in pain.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good designer shoe or bag as much as the next fashionista. But I must admit there is nothing better than a good outfit that your wallet doesn’t mind either.

FYI – Target in no way asked/paid me to write about this, I just constantly find myself spending more money than I should in Target and wanted to make sure I wasn’t alone in this dilemma.

I’m right there with you with going overboard at Target. For a while I couldn’t get out of the store without spending less than $100. My rational was partially to blame. I could easily throw a pair of shoes or a dress in the shopping cart and the hubs wouldn’t even notice :) Although the last few times I’ve gone to Target I’ve come home with cute stuff for him!

I completely agree! Someone I ALWAYS leave Target with clothes or shoes. I don’t know how it happens but it does. Oh well :)

That was the case with me last night- went in for a card and $80 later I came home with way more! Love those sandals though!!

I definitely know what you mean! I tried on this maxi a few weeks ago and was so upset when it was too short, but I did find a pretty lime one that came home with me :) They have some great basics!

You’re definitely not alone when it comes to spending over $100 in Target every single time. Went there last week with the boyfriend to get chapstick and juice and came out with 2 pairs of shoes, 2 sports bras, a bunch of makeup, home decor, and body lotion. What the heck?! :p

LOVE this outfit! I may need to pick up that maxi – I just got those shoes and wore them in my most recent outfit post on my blog!

What is it about walking into Target that basically makes fab things jump right into my cart (and money out of my wallet!). This whole look is adorable! Love those sandals!

I bought the same maxi dress – isn’t it an amazing piece of clothing?? So lightweight and fun, perfect fit and perfect length (for me at least!). Love those yellow sunflowers!
