This past weekend my husband and I had a much needed staycation at the Melrose Hotel in Georgetown. The suite was utter DC perfection with nods everywhere you turn to DC history. After we checked in and noshed on macaroons we headed to the Kennedy Center (a walk from the hotel) to see Book of Mormon in the President’s Box (a plus to having a hubs that works at the White House).

We then headed back to the hotel to a delicious meal at the hotel’s restaurant, Jardenea. I highly recommend the Trio of Tomatoes and Grilled Oysters. After our bellies were full and we were in a deep wine buzz we headed back to our room to wrap ourselves in hotel robs and relax.

We truly had an amazing time! The next time we go we are definitely bringing the pugs. They are dog friendly!
